\"\"<\/a>Plastic waste and climate change, loss of biodiversity\u2026. \u2013 It\u2019s really time to do something about it! The G. Henle publishing house also wants to do its part, so under the slogan \u201cHenle goes green\u201d, we replaced plastic bags with paper bags and use for our Urtext editions only paper with the FSC [Forest Stewardship Council] seal of approval. Our latest project is devoted to animal welfare and species conservation. Owing to the harsh winter with the unusually large snowfalls that have hit us in southern Bavaria, it\u2019s not been easy this year for animals here, either. Today, our publisher ist delighted to report that we have been able to save some animals now living well protected in our publishing house. So, we\u2019d like to introduce you to some of our guests:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Emil, the elephant<\/a>, is probably our most exotic prot\u00e9g\u00e9. How he came to us is a mystery in itself. Anyhow, he\u2019s a very funny guy who\u2019s been looking forward to Carnival for weeks.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Madame Swan<\/a>\u2019s name is Serena and she arrived at almost the same time as Emil. The two are great friends.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In our newly-formed zoo we\u2019ve got several butterflies that we\u2019re calling Edvard<\/a>, Robert<\/a> and Gabriel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Trevor, the trout<\/a>, came to us by way of the Isar river. He\u2019s now living as befits his species in a large aquarium and we are hoping that we\u2019ll soon get more fish to keep him company.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Our bluebird<\/a> is called Brigita and comes from the Czech Republic. She is very musical and sings all day long.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Frederick, the fox<\/a>, is our most recent member of the Henle zoo and so he\u2019s still very shy. We haven\u2019t yet gotten a good photo of him.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re constantly on the lookout for lost animals and especially look forward to finding Wolfgang, the wolf, Erna, the duck, or Kate, the cat, who will come along with Peter sometime soon.<\/p>\n
